Gallery of Jewelry Class Samples

Julie has been teaching jewelry making techniques for over five years and has accumulated some great samples of different classes she teaches. You can find images of many of those classes below. Take a look and if you see something that interests you, let us know that we should put it on an upcoming schedule.

How the classes are described
Beneath the images are the name of the class, the techniques involved, and the difficulty rating. Sometimes, for the sake of clarity and searchability, the techniques listed will be repetitive - like torch soldering and brazing, which mean the same thing. The difficulty rating listed is one of five possible levels.

The progression of difficulty ratings, from easiest to hardest, is: Beginner, Intermediate Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced Intermediate, & Advanced.
  • Beginner classes, open to everyone, will be mindful of those with zero experience and will take the time to explain the basics of tools & materials along with the techniques.
  • Intermediate Beginner will assume you understand the functions of the basic tools such as round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers, flat nose pliers, wire cutters, crimping pliers and basic techniques like opening and closing jump rings, crimping a crimp tube, applying a crimp cover, making an eye-pin, and loop-and-wrap.
  • Intermediate classes build upon your basic knowledge and skills.
  • Advanced Intermediate classes will often use techniques learned in Intermediate classes and build upon them.
  • Similarly, the Advanced classes will either use multiple Intermediate techniques or build upon Advanced Intermediate techniques.

  • If you have any questions, Julie is happy to help.
